Domino’s has fast tracked the launch of its Car Park Delivery service in Victoria to offer further peace of mind to customers who would feel more comfortable staying inside their vehicle when picking up their favourite pizza.

Domino’s Car Park Delivery is a new, zero contact pick up option that customers can choose when placing a pre-paid order via the Domino’s app or mobile website. The service – which is a first for the Quick Service Restaurant industry in Australia – is completely optional and delivered for no extra charge.

Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said Domino’s Car Park Delivery was created to provide yet another convenient option for customers.

“Our key focus has always been on providing a delicious, hot meal, in the easiest, safest and most convenient way possible.

“For some, that’s Zero Contact Delivery. For others, it’s popping into their local store on the way home. And now, there’s a third option where customers can still enjoy the value picking up a pizza provides without having to leave the comfort of their vehicle,” Mr Knight said.

“Domino’s Car Park Delivery gives customers the option to wait in their vehicle while a team member delivers their order to them – it’s pick up, delivered.

“So, if you’ve got kids or pets in the car, don’t want to get out of your comfy pyjamas, or would simply feel more comfortable staying inside in these uncertain times – Domino’s Car Park Delivery could be for you.”

How it works

When Victorian customers place a pre-paid order via the Domino’s app or mobile website, they’ll see the option for Domino’s Car Park Delivery. Once they arrive at the store, they’ll be prompted to send a message notifying the team of their arrival and what make and model their vehicle is so that they can easily be identified by a Domino’s team member.

The team will then deliver their order directly to their vehicle and ask them where they’d like it placed – on a passenger seat, or in the boot.

In line with the recommendation from the Victorian Government, all team members will be wearing face masks while on shift, as well as gloves and high-vis vests when completing a Car Park Delivery.

“It’s our priority to ensure we are not only keeping our customers as safe as possible, but also our team members,” Mr Knight said.

Domino’s Car Park Delivery is available all day in select Victorian stores for orders placed via the Domino’s app or mobile website. The service will be rolled out nationally later this year.
