Australia’s largest pizza maker, Domino’s is celebrating Veganuary and giving vegan pizza lovers more of what they love – a new Vegan Summer BBQ Pizza which hits all 700+ Aussie stores today.

Domino’s CEO for Australia and New Zealand Nick Knight said the Vegan Summer BBQ Pizza is all about embracing the flavours of summer like pineapple and barbeque sauce, as part of the third phase of its Official Pizza of Summer campaign.

“We’ve had great support and engagement from the vegan community on our Vegan Cheese Enthusiasts Facebook group and we’ve received lots of requests for new vegan options, in addition to our three dedicated vegan pizzas and Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread,” Mr Knight said.

“At Domino’s, we’re always hungry to be better and want to deliver the changes customers are asking for and there’s been a really big appetite for us to expand our Vegan range.

“In 2018, we welcomed more new Vegan customers to Domino’s than ever before which is why we are excited to expand our vegan offering.”

Australian’s interest in adopting a vegan diet is growing rapidly and in 2018 online search interest in vegan information was at an all-time high in Australia*.

Vegan cheese became a permanent pizza topping on Domino’s menu last year, following its unprecedented demand that saw stocks exhaust only a week after its initial release.

The Vegan Summer BBQ Pizza features vegan mozzarella, spinach, red onion, mushroom, pineapple, fire roasted peppers and cherry tomatoes on a BBQ sauce base, topped with tomato capsicum sauce.

The new Vegan pizza also follows the launch of the Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread late last year.
